Paua aquaculture is a growing industry in New Zealand. In New Zealand, these are known as paua, which (as is the case with nearly all Maori words) is both singular and plural. These paua shells are cut with the rough, dull exterior & the mosaic of the interior blue, green violet and rose inner shell, the whole shell was used.
